two-thousand-ten

Wow.
2009 has gone by so fast. Seems like just ten minutes ago I was ringing in 2009 with my youth group, celebrating my 17th birthday, and so excited about school being out for summer.

Now, all that's passed, and its time for a new season.

This year, I feel as though I've learned more about myself and who God has made me, than any other year. I've learned who my true friends are, and who my true friends aren't. I've learned how much I really do love just spending time with my family. I've learned how much the little things really mean to people. I've learned what its like to love, and I've even learned what it's like to get your heart shattered into a million pieces. I've learned what it's like to forget about the past, but I've also learned what it's like to embrace the present. I've learned that people change, and it's not always for the better, like I thought. I've learned that honesty really is the best policy. I've learned that I shouldn't be afraid of what I believe in, I should be proud of it. I've learned how it feels to be able to rejoice in the Lord.

Most importantly, I've learned that no matter what, God is and always will be the most important thing in my life. No one knows me better and is there for me like He is. I don't think I can even begin to tell anyone how much grace He has shown me this year, but I sure am thankful for it.

Although this new year will bring about many new experiences and changes in my life, whether good or bad, one things for sure, I love my Jesus, and that will never change, no matter how many years pass.

"This new plan I'm making with Israel...isn't going to be written on paper, isn't going to be chiseled in stone; This time, 'I'm writing out the plan in them, carving out the lining of their hearts.' He concludes, I'll forever wipe the slate clean of their sins."
Hebrews 10: 15-17

"But we're not quitters who lose out. Oh, no! We'll stay with it and survive, trusting all the way."
Hebrews 10: 39
